I have up-dated the site, converting it to the latest web standard
format, XHTML 1.0 Transitional using CSS. This has the possibility of
loosing some users using some old browsers. But, this standard was
recommended in 2000 and revised in 2002 which seems like plenty of
time for new browsers to adopt it. I've tested it on Mac IE 5.0,
Safari and Firefox. IE for the Mac is at end of life with the last
changes in 2003 and will not be updated in the future. It is my litmus
test. This page has been validated the pages using the XHTML and CSS
validators on www.w3.org. Obviously if you have problems with the
site, send me an email.

Hi-Tec
Automotive is an independent Porsche-Audi repair facility in San
Rafael that hosted an open house and tech
session for the Redwood Region following a breakfast run. They have
been in business for 18 years and include a number of vintage racers
as customers as well many long term Porsche owners. This is the shop I
selected to rebuild my engine.
I had previously installed
polypropylene-bronze bushings for the rear of my car. I've been very
happy with them. When offered, I jumped at the chance to put some on
the front. These are the same design as the rear but are suitable for
the early ('65-'67) cars.
If you have a late '67 or '68, you need to check to see if the front
suspension is the same as the early model or is like the '69 and later
before deciding which bushings to purchase.

Asha and I flew into Los Angeles
after a trip to Tahiti. She
came home. I rented a car and met with Jeff Trask and the Southern
California 912 crowd at the Dunkels car
show and swap meet. This has been a very popular event for a number
of year. The Dunkels folk are moving to another property, so this will
be the last time the event is held here.
People from all over the country come to it for it's selection of
display cars, Parking corrals for the major Porsche sub-groups and an
excellent swap meet.
