Numerical Designation Of Cylinders And Main Bearings

Here we see a diagram of the engine showing how the cylinders are numbered. One additional piece of information is the cylinder firing order: 1-4-3-2



CYLINDERS



Viewed in direction of travel;

  • Cylinder I: Front, right side
  • Cylinder II; Rear, right side
  • Cylinder III: Front, left side
  • Cylinder IV: Rear, left side


MAIN BEARINGS



Bearing

  1. Inside diameter 50 mm, sleeve insert (flywheel-end)
  2. Inside diameter 55 mm, split insert
  3. Inside diameter 55 mm, split insert
  4. Inside diameter 40 mm, sleeve insert (at crankshaft pulley)
