Engine Description - Cylinder Heads![]() The clylinder heads are symetrical left and right. The combustion chamber needs to be modified for the narrower sealing surface of big bore cylinders. Each bank of two cylinders has a common, heavily finned, cast light alloy cylinder head with shrunk-in valve seats and valve guides. Helicoil inserts are used as spark plug seats. The cylinder head accommodates the valves in a "V" arrangement. No gasket is used between the cylinder head and the cylinders. |
