Remove Generator Stand
- The picture shows the generator stand already removed.
- It comes off the engine easily by removing the front two bolts and
loosening the rear ones.
- It pulls back toward the rear and free after the strap holding the
generator is removed.
- The strap around the distributor is from the oil filter.
- You can see one of the 3 engine serial numbers in the picture. The
case has three pieces; nose, left and right. An original 912 engine
will have matching numbers for each piece.
- Note that the mounting pad for the generator stand is
rectangular. It is square for a VW engine.
