VIN Number Plate

• This plate is on the door post at the front of the left door.
• The car was assembled by Karmann (not Porsche, the other choice).
• The VIN numbers for 1966 Karmann cars range from 454470 to 458100 (and probably not quite that high), thus this was a late 1966 model.
• The paint code, 6608, is called Aga Blue
• The G following the paint code indicates Glasurit was the paint supplier.
