Shift Linkage and Heater Control
The heater control forced two modifications to the adapter plate for
the Weltmeister short shifter.
- First there is a bump in the heater control fitting that is
designed to fit into a hole and keep the control from rotating. A hole
must be drilled in the plate to accommodate the referenced bump.
- In addition at the maximum off position, the heater control will
bump into the aluminum adapter. A slot must be cut into the plate to
allow the control to move clear forward.
