Inner Cavity of Brake Piston

030626-2923.jpg

Here is the back side of the piston. The center hole rides on a pin in the center of the caliper opening.

The piston is shown after being cleaned up with emory paper.

I used methanol as a solvent and vinyl gloves to keep the brake fluid off my hands.

The piston was dipped in brake fluid before inserting back into the cylinder.
