Disconnect From the Engine
Several items have to be disconnected from the engine prior to removal.
- Gas line.
- Generator wires.
- Various smog control wires depending on the year.
- Wires to the coil and distributor. You can see the fuel line has
been disconnected at the inline filter and the wires that normally
clip to the coil have been disconnected.
Craig's car has been converted to Weber carburetors.
Smog control and a heated rear window has added more wires in the
engine compartment on Craig's 1969 912 compared to my '66.
