New Wrench Design I like tools. These are some new wrenches from Sears. There are some other off-shore manufacturers that have similar ones also. These should speed up nut removal. They have two types with internal ratchets. One (Craftsman) has reversing latches like that on the picture. These have an 11 degree offset so you don't skin your knuckles. The other (Gear Wrench) less expensive type reverses direction by turning the wrench over. It is flat, so there may be some cases where it can not be used with no clearance for your fingers. The bad news is that the set has an 8,10,12,13,14,15,18 mm sizes. My car has 11, 17 and 19 mm nuts and bolts and no 18 mm that I can remember. In view of the importance of 11, 17 and 19mm sizes, one should look around and decide which set to get. |
