Adjusting ClutchGeneralBoth ends of the clutch cable have threads and may be adjusted at either the clutch control lever in transmission housing or at the clutch pedal. The clutch is correctly adjusted when clutch pedal free travel is 20 - 25 mm (3/4 to 1 in,). The adjustment should be made with care since insufficient clearance will result in clutch slippage followed by burnt linings. Adjusting Clutch Free-Play at Control LeverLinks
