Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance 2002

The Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance is the oldest running classic car show on the West coast. The featured mark for 2002 is Porsche which inspired us to visit it for the first time.

There were two 912s shown, one of which we saw a couple of years ago at the Palo Alto Concours. These are the first pictures I have of that car.

Porsches

l47-07 I never found the owner of this 912 which was quite nice although not as well prepared as the Serrano car. It looked very original.

l46-07 Jerry Seinfeld's '56 550/1500RS Spyder, no 080.
l46-06 The RS550 was a major departure for Porsche from the 356 when it was introduced in 1953 with a ladder type tubular frame, aluminum body, mid-engine and Fuhrmann 4 cam engine.
l46-05 Weighing 1320 lbs and 110 DIN horsepower it achieved racing success with class wins at Mille Miglia, Le Mans and the Nurburgring.
