Horsepower and Torque Curves

dyno_0.jpg

This graph is summary information indicating the critical data from the dynamometer run. It shows a peak torque of 92 ft-lbs at 3000 RPM and peak horsepower of 85 at 5750 RPM.

The horsepower data is the value delivered to the wheels. There is an estimated 15% loss from the flywheel through the transmission and differential, so this suggests 101 horsepower at the flywheel.

The engine was designed with lower than recommended compression ratio and a 7% increase in displacement by using 86 mm pistons.

The most HP we should expect is 107 to 110.

I can not complain about these values at all.
