Clip-On DC Ammeter

crw_6910.jpg

As an aside, DC current measurements above the milli-ampere level are a hassle because they are normally made in series with the current source. I've used an automotive ammeter in the past but have since upgraded to a clamp on that is designed for DC as well as AC. AC clamp-ons are common. DC are not. New on the market are reasonably priced ones. The one shown is less than $50.
