I also own a 912; its a green 1968 model long wheelbase 5 speed box with the 5 dial dashboard, I brought it about 5 years ago and knew then that it needed major restoration work , I live in the U.K. and the Porsche has suffered some serious rust problems. My car had been sitting on my drive just rotting away, then I got some inspiration from your site and have just come back to work after taking two and a half weeks off working on the car. At the moment I have the complete front end stripped back to just the inner shell, no front sub frame, petrol tank etc and I'm welding patches where all the rust holes are ...and theres a few of them. I would have liked to replaced the complete inner wings, but unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch that far. I definitely think I'm going to be using a few notes from your site in the future when it comes to getting my engine running smoothly. - 27 Feb 2001 Thanks for the pictures.
