Porsche W-RS Spyder

This 718/8 car was so modified by Porsche over its life with many engineering changes and engines that it was labeled the 'grossmutter', grandmother, by the factory technicians.

It started as a RS-61 and took Dan Gurney and Bob Holbert to 5th overall at the 1961 Le Mans race, the start of a 32 race career.

In 1963 the wheelbase was extended to accommodate the flat eight type 771 engine.

It won the 1963 and 1964 European Hillclimb Championship.
