1967 Porsche 912, My First In 1971 I bought a 1967 Porsche 912. We were living in Lake Oswego, Oregon, where this picture was taken. It was my first Porsche. I was a member of the Mt Hood ski patrol and drove it to the mountain and all over the Pacific North West many times. I installed a gas heater that was for a VW van. That was a blessing when going out to the parking lot at the end of a cold day, particularly considering how marginal the heater was for the car. There was one repair for $64, a new generator. After a couple of years, I sold it as a trade-in for new 914, getting more money for the 912 than I paid for it. |
