Engine Damper Mat Installation

652-849-23.jpg

  • Here is my solution to applying vertical pressure when gluing a damper mat to the top of the engine compartment.
  • A board, heavy hammer and small anvil.
  • The air cleaners were removed to allow clearance for the board. Normally I cover the carburetor openings with a baggy secured with a rubber band to keep junk from falling into them.
  • You can also see the shiny surface of the Dynamat Xtreme sound damping material which covers the sides, back and top of the engine compartment.
