Rear Window Defroster Connections I have removed the rear window defroster tubes and put corks in the connection points. The upper cork keeps engine fumes out of the vehicle interior and the lower one prevents loosing heat into the engine compartment. The original connection tubing was installed when I got the car. It was typical flexible tubing covered with insulating foam that had deteriorated to the point it was falling apart. The inside diameter of the flexible tubing should be about 24mm. 1 inch should work. |
