Hughes Flying Boat
The Hughes Flying Boat had many names including the HK-1 (Hughes-Kaiser), the H-4 (after Kaiser withdrew), Hercules, Wooden Wonder (Flying Magazine) and the Spruce Goose (the press), even though the plane is largely made of birch.
