Engine Removed

Here is the engine on the ground sitting on the motorcycle jack. It easily cleared the sheet metal on the way out. We had two problems in this process:

  1. The halfshafts were still connected although the bolts were removed. This took a bit of fiddling to break them loose.
  2. The muffler had to be removed so it would not interfere with the hydraulic cylinder on the jack.


You can also see that the rear of the transmission is resting on a board showing that the center of gravity of the the assembly is a bit behind the rear edge of the case bottom.
