Put Ramps Under the Car Putting ramps under the rear of the car gave use enough room to drop the engine without any problem except for removing the inner ends of the half shafts which could not be rotated for easier access to the mounting bolts. The ramps got the car higher than the jack stands we had available. I learned that my jack stands and hydraulic jack will not raise my car high enough to to this job. |
